How Trading Psychology Coaching Works
“Most traders already know what to do. The challenge is being able to do it consistently under pressure.”
Every Trader Is Different
No two traders are the same.
Some struggle with fear of losing, others with fear of missing out. Some overtrade after a losing streak, whilst others hesitate and miss opportunities because confidence has disappeared.
Although the behaviours may appear similar, the underlying reasons are often very different.
For that reason I do not believe in a “one size fits all” coaching programme.
Instead, we first identify what is actually driving the behaviour before deciding on the most appropriate way forward.
Step 1 – Your Complimentary Trading Psychology Review
Everything starts with a complimentary online Trading Psychology Review.
This is an informal 30-minute Zoom conversation where we discuss your trading experience, your goals and, most importantly, the challenges that are preventing you from trading consistently.
Typical issues include:
Fear of losing money
Fear of missing out (FOMO)
Revenge trading
Overtrading
Hesitation
Lack of confidence
Banking profits too early
Moving stop losses
Difficulty following your trading rules
The purpose of this meeting is to gain a clear understanding of where you are now and where you would like to be.
It also gives us both the opportunity to decide whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.
Step 2 – Understanding The Problem
Many traders assume they simply need more discipline or stronger willpower.
In my experience, that is rarely the case.
The brain is continually checking for patterns based on previous experience and automatically creates emotional responses long before we become consciously aware of them.
If those patterns are no longer helpful, they can repeatedly interfere with your decision making without you even realising why.
Understanding why those reactions occur is often the first step towards changing them.
Step 3 – Personalised Coaching
Once we have identified the areas that require attention, we begin working on the emotional responses that are affecting your trading.
Every coaching programme is tailored to the individual.
Depending upon your needs, we may work on:
Fear
Confidence
Self-belief
Self-sabotage
Performance anxiety
Emotional resilience
Limiting beliefs
Destructive behavioural patterns
Focus and concentration
The aim is not to change your trading strategy.
The aim is to help you execute the strategy you already have with greater confidence, consistency and emotional control.
Step 4 – Measuring Progress
One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is watching traders begin to trust themselves again.
Clients often report feeling calmer, more objective and less emotionally involved in individual trades.
Rather than reacting to the market, they are able to follow their trading plan with greater consistency.
The objective is not perfection.
There will always be winning trades and losing trades.
The objective is to develop the mindset that allows you to execute your edge consistently over time.
Always focus on the bigger picture.

Is Trading Psychology Coaching Right For You?
This coaching is designed for traders who already have a trading approach or strategy and want to improve their execution, consistency and emotional resilience.
If your biggest challenge is not knowing what to trade, you may benefit more from trading education first.
If, however, you know what you should be doing but repeatedly find yourself doing something different, then trading psychology coaching could make all the difference.
I look forward to speaking with you.
